Sajama National Park is located in Bolivia's Western Andes, northeast of Oruro and 2 km from La Paz. This national park is known for its high Andean lagoons and incredible volcanic mountains such as Payachatas, Parinacota (6332 m), Pomerape (6280 m), and the Sajama snow-capped mountain (6542 m), the highest mountain in Bolivia. Its flora and fauna also include forests of queñuas, vicuñas, lamas, alpacas, suris, Andean cats, pumas, and condors. Thanks to its underground volcanic activity, it has geysers, where you can observe the boiling water coming out of the ground and the open-air hot springs.
