Meet in Mendoza. Guides meet, then travel to Las Cuevas (400 km). Trek to the campsite (3,200 m).
On this trip, we'll focus on slowly ascending the steep slopes as we enter the Matienzo Valley, part of Aconcagua Provincial Park. When we arrive, we will set up our basecamp and have the rest pf the evening free to rest and prepare for the next day.
After having breakfast, we'll prepare to visit Laguna del Potrero Escondido.
This trek will allow us to continue adjusting to the altitude. Once there, we will enjoy the scenery and stay for lunch.
We will return to camp. Rest.
We will start the trek early, ascending slowly. Once we reach the summit, from where we can see the southwest face of the Colossus of America, the Matienzo Glacier, Juncal in Chile, and the surrounding mountains, we will take an hour's rest before descending into the valley.
