During the mountain activity, all waste that came with us returns with us.
Papers, fruit peels, toilet paper, wet wipes, feminine dressings, etc. They can be discarded upon arrival at the shelter or in the destination city upon completion.

- 60/80 liter backpack to carry personal items.
- Backpack cover or nylon to waterproof the backpack.

Meet with guides, equipment check-up, rentals, or last-minute purchases.
Transfer by private vehicle to Vallecitos, 80 km from the city. Altitude adaptation trek (4 hours).
Overnight in a mountain hut.
To help with altitude adjustment, we will hike today to the Veguitas Superior Camp (3,460 meters).
We will have lunch there and return to the hut to rest and prepare for the next day.
Approximate duration: 3 to 5 hours.
Starting from the refuge, we'll follow the trail that will lead us to "El Salto" camp. We'll climb the moraine of the rubble, and then "el infiernillo," the toughest and most legendary section of this portage. We'll arrive at Salto de Agua camp, the base for several of the 5,000-meter peaks in the area, where we can see the entire Potrerillos Valley from the balcony. After setting up camp, we'll have the rest of the afternoon free to rest.
Approximate activity time: 6 to 8 hours.
Short trek to adapt to the altitude. The rest of the day is free to rest and recharge. Approximate activity time: 3 hours
Before dawn, we'll depart from El Salto Camp to the summit of Cerro Lomas Amarillas. We'll spend half an hour at the summit before descending to El Salto Camp.
Descent to the huts area. Return to the city of Mendoza. End of the expedition.
