How to get to Fiambalá:
There are two transportation services that arrive from San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca (Robledo and Gutiérrez companies). Both services can be booked online. Plan ahead to travel in case of unforeseen events.

Personal Gear:
Rental gear is not an available service in Catamarca. If you must rent mountain gear, we recommend doing so at your place of origin or to ask us for help.
Personal gear is mandatory to attempt the proposed summits.

During the mountain activity, all waste that came with us returns with us.
Papers, fruit peels, toilet paper, wet wipes, feminine dressings, etc. They can be discarded upon arrival at the shelter or in the destination city upon completion.

Meeting in Fiambalá. Transfer to the mountain Inn in Cortaderas.
Free afternoon to rest, hydrate and prepare for the next day or trekking to Cortaderas Peak (3650mts).
After breakfast (7 hours) we will move to Paso San Francisco.
After accomodating in a free use hut or to setting up the tents we will prepare for our objective: Cerro Falso Morocho (4484 masl).
One hour of travel, 5 hours of trekking.
Rest day to facilitate the adaptation process to the altitude. Visit to the "Blue Lagoon" Hot Springs.
After breakfast, we will travel by private vehicle to the base of Bertran Volcano (4650m). We will then trek to the summit of the volcano, from where we will have a breathtaking view of its crater and the surrounding volcanoes: San Francisco (6016m) and Incahuasi (6640m). We will take between 30 minutes and 1 hour (depending on weather conditions) for lunch and rest. Return tu Las Grutas.
Rest, in the afternoon we will visit the "San Francisco" lagoon or the hot springs again. Free afternoon to rest.
4:30am, transfer to the base of the San Francisco Volcano (5100 masl). 5:30am start of the high altitude trekking. Approximate time of return to Las Grutas, 4:00 pm. The conditions of the group will be evaluated at all times because it is a long day. All decisions will be made based on this.
We will break camp and return to Fiambalá. Once settled in at the inn, we will have the afternoon to relax and, if available, visit the hot springs to recharge for the following days.
Services: Shared rooms with the group, beds with linens, and private bathrooms.
4x4 transfer. Camp set-up. Hydration, dinner, and rest at overnight stay.
Carry to the campsite (5100m), return to base camp.
This day we will take advantage of the ascent to aid the acclimatization process.
Ascent and stay at camp 1, once there we will spend the rest of the day resting and replenishing our energy.
Carrying gear to the campsite (5800m), return to Camp 1.
This day we will take advantage of the ascent to aid the acclimatization process to the altitude.
Trek to Camp 2. Setting up camp and the rest of the day to rest and prepare for the summit attempt.
Summit attempt day (12 to 16 hours of activity).
The group's condition will be assessed continuously due to the long day. All decisions will be made based on this assessment.
Return to Camp 2, if possible, break camp, and descend to Camp 1.
Descent to the vehicle, transfer to Fiambalá. End of Services.
Considered in case of bad weather or the need for a rest day.
If not used, the expedition ends on day 14.
