Four days in Aconcagua park
Part of Aconcagua Park, Matienzo is the last valley on the Argentine side, in the Central Andes. Located very close to the town of Las Cuevas, it is a great attraction, with sweeping landscapes and rarely climbed peaks.
The ascent of Mount Pedro Zanni is ideal for those who want to venture into mid-mountain activities for the first time due to its proximity to a populated center and the rugged natural environment that surrounds it. Spring through autumn is the ideal time to reach it due to the wide temperature range and lack of snow in the gorge.
From its summit, we have an impressive view of Mount Aconcagua on its southwest face.

After having breakfast, we'll prepare to visit Laguna del Potrero Escondido.
This trek will allow us to continue adjusting to the altitude. Once there, we will enjoy the scenery and stay for lunch.
We will return to camp. Rest.

"With Silvina as my guide, I completed my first two 4000m climbs. Stepanek and Adolfo Calle. She was attentive to every detail, insisting on hydration and nutrition, and waiting for the right time for each member of the group. In my case, I was always the slowest one... lagging behind. She coordinated and guided every step toward the summit. I learned a lot about high-altitude equipment and how easy it is to pack my sleeping bag inside its cover. It was all an odyssey for me. I leave my excellent recommendations for this extraordinary guide, Silvina.", María C., 2x4000 - Introductory Mountaineering.
