Aconcagua, known as the "Roof of America" is the highest mountain on the continent at 6962 meters. Located in the Central Andes in Mendoza, within the Aconcagua Provincial Park, this mountain is the highest after the Himalayas, a great adventure for all mountaineering enthusiasts and those who enjoy a challenge. Cold, high, windy, unstable... these are some of the characteristics that surround it... and make it tempting! It's impossible to miss its beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Aconcagua is magical wherever you look. If you like challenges, don't hesitate! - It's advisable to have a good training base to take on this challenge.

Please consider arriving the day before the start of the expedition to Mendoza to have time to complete the registration process for entry to Aconcagua Park and rent the necessary gear (if needed).

Meeting in the city of Mendoza, equipment check-in and rental if necessary.
Registration procedures for entry to the Park.

Travel to Puente del Inca (2795 m). Arrange for loading for the mules. Overnight at the mountain hostel (shared rooms with the group).

Breakfast and transfer to the entrance of Aconcagua Park. After a brief entry process, we'll head to Confluencia Camp (3400 m). Free afternoon to rest and hydrate. Overnight in high-altitude tents.

Trekking from the summit to the viewpoint on the south face of Aconcagua. This legendary face of Aconcagua will provide us with a breathtaking view of its hanging glacier as well as part of the exposed rock glacier, which we will see along the way. At the viewpoint, we will take a well-deserved break during which we will have lunch. Afterward, we will return to Confluencia.

Starting from the first base camp, the trail that runs parallel to the Upper Horcones River will guide us across the famous Playa Ancha (Ancha Beach) and finally ascend the lateral moraine of the Horcones Glacier. This trek takes between 7 and 9 hours. Once completed, we will have a well-deserved snack in one of the dining tents. Base camp is a full-service camp (meals, Wi-Fi, etc.), additional services can be arranged on-site.

Rest day. We'll take advantage of the opportunity to explore the camp and surrounding area. We'll get our gear ready for the next day.

This ascent is part of the acclimatization process necessary to ensure a better experience when attempting to reach the summit of Aconcagua. For many, it will be their first experience above 5000 meters. Its summit offers spectacular views of the west face of Aconcagua and the Plaza de Mulas camp, as well as the hills of the neighboring Quebrada de Matienzo. The glaciers provide a unique spectacle, standing out among the magical colors of the minerals in the Andes mountains.

Trekking to Canada Camp (4,950 meters), where we'll have lunch before returning to Plaza de Mulas Camp. This is a day of altitude acclimatization, where we will take advantage of the opportunity to bring gear, food, and supplies for the higher camps.

Ascent, camp set up. Rest of the afternoon for rest.
Distance: 3.5km | Cumulated elevation: 400mts | Hours: 4.

Trekking to the Nido de Cóndores Camp (5250 m), where we will have lunch before returning to Camp Canada. This is a day of altitude acclimatization. We'll use this trek to carry gear, food, and supplies for the higher camps.
Distance: 4km | Cumulated elevation: 400mts | Hours: 5.

Trekking to Camp 2: "Condors' Nest." We will spend the next two nights here to rest and acclimatize. We will carry our personal belongings, and porters will transport our expedition gear, food, and tents. After arriving at Condors' Nest, we will set up our tents. Dinner will be served in our tents. This is a four-hour activity.

DRest and acclimatization. Short trek through the area to take advantage of the impressive views of the unreachable glaciers of Aconcagua Park. We will emphasize hydration and rest.

Day of portering and transfer to "Cólera" Base Camp. We will have the help of a porter for camping gear and food. Rest and preparations for the summit. Early dinner for more rest.
Distance: 4km | Cumulated elevation: 800mts | Hours: 4.

Summit day! We'll wake up earlier than usual, have breakfast inside our tents, and get dressed for our summit attempt. The guide will serve hot drinks and a quick breakfast. We'll all leave our tents at the agreed-upon time and begin our slow climb toward the summit, keeping moving and warm together as a team. The time of day we arrive and the weather will determine how long we spend on the summit. After the usual photo ops and taking in the scenery, we'll begin our descent back to Cólera Camp. 10 to 12 hours of activity.
Distance: 4km | Cumulated elevation: 1000mts | Hours: 10-12.

This day, without getting up so early, we'll descend to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. We'll transfer our personal and group gear. Once at Base Camp, we'll have the rest of the day free to celebrate our experience and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Distance: 7km | Hours: 6.

This day we'll return to Horcones, the park entrance, for the final day of the trekking expedition. The mules will carry some of our gear, so we'll walk with light backpacks, a coat, and lunch. We'll return to Mendoza City (dinner in Mendoza not included). 6 to 8 hours of activity.
Distance: 26km | Hours: 8-9.

Extra days to be used in case of adverse weather conditions or additional days for altitude adjustment/rest. If these are not necessary, the expedition ends on the 15th.
