Located in the Central Andes of Mendoza, within Aconcagua Provincial Park, this mountain is the highest outside of Asia after the Himalayas and represents a great adventure for all mountaineering enthusiasts and those who enjoy a challenge. Its beautiful sunrises and sunsets are not to be missed. Aconcagua is magical from every angle. Keep in mind that a good level of fitness is necessary to attempt this challenge.


You can opt for a shorter 12-day version in Aconcagua Park with acclimatization in Cordón del Plata:

7-days shortened version: Cerro Plata Expedition (5968 mts).
If you do not have any experience in mountaineering this is the activity to start: 2x4000: Introduction to Mountaineering.

  • People in excellent physical condition.
  • Those who understand the mountain environment, are willing to participate and adapt, and wish to share the experience in a group.
  • Involves walking on scree, snow, or ice. The use of crampons and descents via mountain scree are possible.
  • You can choose to book this experience for yourself if you do not wish to participate in a group.

Meeting place: Mendoza, day before the start of the expedition (9am).
Ending place: Mendoza (16hs).
Difficulty: Moderate / High.
Distance / Elevation Gain: 98km / 7200m cumulative.
Requirements: Medical certificate with exercise stress test | Physical preparation and willpower | Mountaineering experience over 6000mts.
Minimum Group / Ratio: 2 people Approximation: 1 Guide - 5 PAX | Summit: 1 Guide - 3 PAX.

* Please consider arriving in Mendoza the day before the expedition begins to allow time for Aconcagua Park entry registration and equipment rental.
Plan your travel for the day after the expedition ends, as there may be delays en route to Mendoza.
