Winter mountaineering Winter mountaineering Aconcagua Park

Your trip starts now...

Your trip starts now...

This introductory winter mountaineering activity is designed to train you in progression techniques, equipment knowledge, and safety principles for safely navigating your first activity on snowy terrain. On the first day, we'll take advantage of the available snow in the high-mountain area to practice self-arrest in snow with a traverse ice axe and progression techniques with crampons. After the first day of practice, we'll spend the afternoon at the refuge for a talk about materials, equipment, and clothing.
We'll make two ascents, one in Penitentes (+3,000 meters) and another in Aconcagua Park (+4,000 meters) on snowy terrain to apply what we've learned.
Our groups are small to provide the optimal dedication each participant requires to maximize the learning experience during the activity.

You can opt for a less difficult version: Winter Challenge (2 days).

Addressed to:

This climb is intended for people in good physical condition and with trekking experience who wish to experience their first winter ascents with snowy terrain without any other technical difficulties.
