Among the curious palm groves that inhabit the Department of Pocho, five inactive volcanoes show a landscape that will not be repeated in another area of Córdoba.
These elevations exhibit different shades, depending on the type of rocks that make them up; two of them stand out for drawing an almost perfect conical shape on the horizon.
On this occasion we invite you to discover the main volcanoes of the department. The Ciénaga (1300mts) striking with its conical shape and the beautiful Cerro Poca (1600mts) hidden among the so-called Cerros Azules.

Itineary Itinerary




We will leave the city of Córdoba before dawn, heading west of the province of Córdoba. By mid-morning we will be at the base of the Ciénaga Volcano, from where we will set out to reach its 1,300m summit. From there we will have a spectacular panoramic view of the Pampa of Pocho and the rest of its volcanoes.
We will take a half-hour break before returning to the starting point
(3 hours – distance 5km).
After lunch we will move to the base of the Poca Volcano (1,600m).
From there we will trek to its summit. Estimated time 5 hours – distance 6km. Return to the Base and to Córdoba where we will end the activity.
